Can I pick the restoration company I want to use, or do I have to use who my insurance company refers?

Your property, your choice! You have the right to work with any restoration company you wish - even if the insurance adjuster strongly suggests using one of their referrals. Even better news: we work with most insurance companies and can bill them directly on your behalf!

Can you bill my insurance company directly?

Yes! We can save you the headache of working with the insurance company to get the restoration work paid for. We work with most insurance companies.

How long will the restoration work take?

Our top priority is getting your property back to its pre-damaged state as quickly as possible. That said, no two jobs are the same and a job's duration depends on factors like type and extent of the damage, the size of the property, and types of furnishings - just to name a few. Do you do more than just restoration?

Yes! Not only can we restore your property to a better-than-before state, but we can also do property improvements and implement accident preparedness/mitigation measures. We are licensed to work on both residential and commercial projects.

What do your fire & smoke services entail?

Restoring a property following a fire entails: removing soot and the smell of smoke damage, finding and repairing structural damage, cleaning furnishings, and fire-proofing to protect against any potential future incidents. Unfortunately, fires also often result in water damage from fire sprinklers and burst water pipes - which can also result in development of mold - and electrical failures.

Will all my property's furnishings have to be disposed of and replaced?

The severity of the fire and smoke damage will determine what portion of furnishings have to be disposed of and replaced. That said, customers are often surprised at the extent of which we are able to salvage and restore furnishings particularly susceptible to damage like carpets, drapes, and furniture. We understand and appreciate the value of your properties furnishings - be it due to cost, uniqueness, or sentimentality - and will do everything we can to save as much as we can.

The fire wasn't very big - do I still need a professional restoration company?

Even small fires are capable of causing extensive damage to your property. Smoke and ash can cause corrosion and respiratory issues, fire extinguisher residue requires special cleaning and removal, and water damage from putting a fire out can result in mold developing if not properly dried. Along with the visible effects of a fire, there can be damage to unseen areas of your building that can cause a loss in structural integrity and create unsafe living conditions. Stonegate's extensive site evaluation procedure will ensure that all damaged areas have been identified and all safety risks have been remedied.

What does the water damage repair process entail?

Stonegate will assess the property damage and get an estimate from your insurance company so that you don't have to. After that, any standing water is removed and affected areas are dried and dehumidified. Deodorization, hazardous and damaged materials are disposed of, and environmental pathogens are eliminated. Once the damaged areas are dried, cleaned, and prepped, we will replace things like drywall, insulation, flooring, carpeting, or conduct any other restorations necessary.

Will I have move out of my property while this work is being done?

Depending on the severity, you may be able to remain in your property. We understand that on top of the headache an accident can cause, the added stress of moving out of your property and trying to arrange temporary accommodations can be overwhelming. We will do whatever we can to help you avoid that added stress.
